Would you like to get your first professional and international experience in the hospitality industry and work where others go on holiday? Would you like to improve your Spanish and enjoy your spare time in the sun, at the beach and in the sea? Then this opportunity is for you! A 4 star hotel in Gran Canaria offers a vacant position in the Entertainment Department.
The duration of the placement is scheduled for 2 to 6 months. During the day your responsibility are sports activities, and in the evening the entertainment and communication with guests. Your task is working with international guests, sports activities (e.g. aerobics, tennis, archery, water gymnastics, volleyball, billiards) and being the host of evening shows. Stage presence is your strength and performing games and competitions with guests are fun for you. You automatically integrate yourself into the team and learn from your more experienced colleagues in the daily business.
You work 40 hours per week with two days off, accommodation and meals are provided by the hotel for free and also pocket money of at least € 150 per month.

You have completed your A-Levels or rather now studying Tourism, Hotel Management or Sport Sciences or doing an apprenticeship as a Foreign Language Correspondence Clerk, Tourism Assistant or something comparable and you are planning an internship abroad in the hotel sector. If you decide for a placement in the entertainment department you should be very open-minded, outgoing, spontaneous, communicative and in a good mood all the time. Dealing with many guests of different nationalities is very easy for you and you show a healthy level of self-confidence. You bring a decent knowledge of the English language. Elementary language skills in Spanish would be beneficial, but they are not mandatory.
